Minutes for Three Cranes Grove, ADF
Sunday, April 4th, 2004
Present were: Mike, Leesa, Jim, and Judi
Judi will be creating a poll on the YahooGroups site to
determine best day(s) for community service at Clinton/Como park
this month. The options will be the 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th,
24th, and 25th. All are either saturday or sunday.
Other community service options discussed for future quarters
(ones with an * would be possibly of an ongoing nature):
- canned food drive at all rituals Jan through Sept
- toy drive at all rituals Oct through Dec
- possible drop boxes placed in addition at various
locations (Fly By Night, Mystic Forest Treasures, etc.)
- donating books to prison libraries (all kinds of books, not
just necessarily pagan-themed ones)*
- giving workshops*
- volunteering at a soup kitchen*
- Aids Meals-On-Wheels type program as previously mentioned by
Anne*
- literacy program volunteering*
- Race For the Cure
- ComFest
Locations for Beltane were discussed. We will be going with the
same location as the previous two rituals, the Northern
Reservable shelter at High Banks. The 7am to 4pm time will be
reserved again.
-with the weather getting nicer, we will be looking into
other park locations (read: cheaper) for the Solstice and
other rituals
-Solstice ritual will coincide with ComFest, if the Grove
has a booth, someone from the Grove may have to volunteer
to miss the ritual unless we can have it at ComFest
Comfest (June 25, 26, and 27) plans:
- Grove will try to have a booth AND volunteer
- Grove will possibly try to have the Solstice ritual there
- possibly have face-painting for kids at the booth
- possibly have music playing in the booth (for the benefit of
those as have to man it)
- possibly have ThreeCranes shirts for Grove members to wear
Since we collect email addresses of attendees at rituals, we
will now send out a "Thank you for attending" email with details
about the webpage, future rituals, the announce email list, and
contact information.
