Business Meeting Minutes

05/16/2004

Present were Mike, Jenni, Judi, Leesa, and Jim.  Held at the
residence of Leesa and Jim.

We need to start having rituals at a location that is less
expensive or free.  Judi will be looking in to non-reservable
(and therefore free) shelters at Blacklick woods for
consideration for the Solstice.

Suggestions were made as to how to get more Grove involvement by
the members.  Jenni brought up a suggestion she had been given,
that we have more Guild-related/SIG activities.  Suggestions
were:
-Artisan's Guild: salt-dough crafting, needlework and sewing
lessons
-Warrior Guild: self-defense classes
-Dance Guild: dance lessons
-Naturist's Guild: nature walks/hikes, canoeing (kayaking?)
-Brewer's SIG: brewing lessons/bottling sessions

It was requested that the rituals be moved to a more evening-ish
time slot.

Jim reported making progress on the development of his Solstice
ritual for the Grove.

We will not be having a booth at ComFest due to time and
planning issues.  Planning for next year's event so that we can
hopefully have one then will start in December, approximately.

We missed the Walk for Life as well.  We will try to plan for
the next one in a more timely fashion.

Judi will be starting a poll for dates for a June park cleanup
for community service.

At the last ritual, 22 cans were collected from 13 people, and
given to Operation Feed.

The next business meeting will be held at Jenni's house on
Sunday, June 6th.
