Business Meeting Minutes

In attendance were: Mike, Jenni, Leesa, Beverly, and Judi
Meeting was held at the residence of Mike.

-Equinox rite was discussed
   -Placement and working of unity and inception pieces
   -Jenni will be leading the rite
   -Deities to invoke as well as writing the next verse of the 
     Three Cranes poem will be done at Summerland but please
     start thinking about them now
   -Summerland liturgical meeting will be on Friday at dinner

-Community service
   -Jenni is giving blood September 11th at Carriage Place, if 
     anyone would like to schedule to donate at the same time
   -Park cleanup at Clinton/Como at 9:30 on Saturday, April 14th
   -For consideration, joining a "Friends of  park"
   -If you do something individually for community service in
the
     name of the Grove, please email info to the Scribe for
     inclusion in the reports

-Community service announcements will be also posted to the
  Three Cranes announce list so that those interested in the 
  Grove can help out too

-Jenni will be working on developing a newsletter for the Grove

-We had Jehovah's Witnesses come to the door during the meeting,
  they described Mike as "hospitable"

-Mike is soliciting volunteers for Pagan Pride Day and for his
  Buffett rite at Summerland
   -Pagan Pride Day is October 3rd, on the South Oval at OSU
   -Buffett details forthcoming

-We will be working on creating a phone/contact tree to keep
  members abreast of rites and functions separate from email

-Lughnassad recap
   -We had 8 in attendance
   -Omens were: Fehu, Jera, and Thuirasaz
   -Mike will write to Meredith regarding interpretation of the
     Thuirasaz interpretation

-Samhain rite
   -Will be held on the 31 of October at Blacklick with a social
     hour at 6, followed by rite at 7
   -We will be getting a reservable shelter

-Other upcoming rites
   -Equinox will be at High Banks Big Meadows picnic area with
     a social hour at 4, followed by the rite at 5
   -Saturnalia will be at Jenni's house
   -Imbolc will be at Judi's cabin in SE Ohio

-Next business meeting will be Sept. 12th at Beverly's house at
  7 pm
